When I started, I was especially pleased that my first impression was not misleading and that it was even better than I had imagined.

3 questions, 3 answers to the students of XU, this time with Leonard, student of Digital Business. With the Hashtag #xustudentlife, our students will also be giving insights into their student lives in our Instagram story in the coming months. In the next two weeks, it will be Leonard, Frederik, Julian and Noah.

Why did you choose XU?

I think that XU is one of the few universities for economics with a sustainable concept. For years, state universities and other private universities have had little or no relevance to digital and modern topics. The XU was the first university where I had the feeling that these topics were taken to heart and that one really wanted to offer a high-quality study.

When I started, I was especially pleased that my first impression was not misleading and that it was even better than I had imagined.

Why did you choose your course of studies?

After graduating from high school, I did an apprenticeship as an industrial salesman. So I already knew that business is my subject. In addition, I was able to gain my own experience as a founder and thus entered the start-up scene. So it became clear to me how digitalization will change our lives fundamentally. The course of studies offers an optimal combination of these and combines digital topics with business.

What was important to you when choosing your place to study?

Practical relevance was particularly important to me. Even after graduating from high school, this was important to me, which led to my decision to do a practical apprenticeship instead of studying. After the apprenticeship I have asked myself what my next practical steps could be. Several universities interested me but the XU could convince me for the reasons mentioned above. I still think that studying at XU is the right decision. All digital topics are covered, the professors come right from the practice and I got the time to collect practical experiences.
