3 questions, 3 answers to the students of XU, this time with Vincent, student of Coding and Software Engineering. Why did you choose XU?

In my view, XU provides a unique glance at how education is supposed to be. It creates a home like environment that supports creative and comfortable learning. The size of the class allows for a more interactive approach of learning, which enhances the quality and the speed with which information is absorbed. In addition, it is one of the few English taught Universities in Germany.

Why did you choose your course of studies?

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be a big part of the digitalization and scientific progress, as programming is a big part of today’s research and experimentation process, doing software engineering provides a first class seat on the plane to the scientific future. This course provides knowledge in multiple software development branches, allowing the students to chose their own path.

What was important to you when choosing your place to study?

When it comes to learning, everyone has their own preferences; I was looking for a Game/Project based learning techniques as opposed to taking notes and having to learn everything at home (which is how most big universities function). In addition, I was looking for a program where I would not just learn about one specific part of Computer Systems, but rather see the whole picture.
