I wanted to study something that held opportunities and a course that would give me an advantage after graduating.

3 questions, 3 answers to the students of XU, this time with Karima, student of Coding and Software Engineering. With the Hashtag #xustudentlife, our students will also be giving insights into their student lives in our Instagram story in the coming months. In the next two weeks, it will be Karima, Annika, Mona and Felix.

Why did you choose XU?

I was impressed by the university’s online presents and business oriented courses. It seemed interactive and with the intention of the students future success. XU was very active online and on social media showcasing lectures by entrepreneurs, company visits and an overall fun environment.

Why did you choose your course of studies?

I came across XU looking for a marketing course around Berlin. When I looked through the offered courses at XU coding caught my attention. It looks interesting with a focus not only on technic but also economics and business and with great future opportunities. The classes were small which would give me the opportunity to actually interact with my lecturer and ask questions or for help if needed, which will make my studies a lot less stressful

What was important to you when choosing your place to study?

I previously worked in sales and marketing in London and really enjoyed it, but realized that it was extremely stressful and usually commission based. I wanted to study something that held opportunities and a course that would give me an advantage after graduating. XU works close with companies, so I have the opportunity to gain practical experience, while studying.
