About

 

Prof. Dr. Martin Hillebrand is a specialist in quantitative finance, sustainable investing, and fintech innovation. He brings over 15 years of high-level experience from institutions such as the European Stability Mechanism, Deutsche Bank, and the German Finance Agency, where he led risk and capital market analysis on multi-billion-euro portfolios.

Currently a Professor of Quantitative Methods at XU Exponential University, Prof. Hillebrand holds a doctorate in Mathematics and has published widely on credit risk, bond market dynamics, and robust statistical methods. His research focuses on sustainable finance, capital market behaviour, and the ethical application of data and AI in financial systems.

  • Weekend Format: 6 full teaching days over 3 weekends (Fri/Sat, 09:00–17:45).
  • Certificate: Take this module to earn a Nano Degree (5 ECTS), add one more for an Advanced Certificate (10 ECTS).
  • Program Standards: Follows admissions, study and exam regulations of the M.A. in Digital Transformation and Sustainability.
  • Modular Entry: Option to transfer credits toward the M.A. in Digital Transformation and Sustainability via fast-track admissions.
  • Venue: Course may be attended in presence at XU Exponential University Campus or Online
