During your Master’s program, you will gain the necessary expertise through various practical modules focusing on Data Science Fundamentals, Data Science Methods, and Computer Science.
The connecting element of the Data Fundamentals module: You will explore diverse topics such as operations, applications, and innovations, enhancing your skills through hands-on data science and process management projects, as well as proficiency in required programming languages and applications. An example of predictive analysis is the targeted customer approach based on their potential behavior.
In the Data Science Methods module, you will develop your competencies in Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics. Through practical project work, you will learn how to apply these methods and derive accurate and relevant future forecasts from your data analysis.
The Computer Science module will expose you to the utilization of new technologies and methods in fields such as Parallel Computing, Cognitive Computing, and Disruptive Computing for Data Science projects.
You will expand your existing foundation in Digital Leadership during your Master’s program through a two-part Leadership Assessment (conducted in the first and fourth semesters).
Additionally, you will gain Consulting skills through a practical project and deepen your qualitative and quantitative research methods in a hands-on research project.

Information Analysis

You utilize the entire data infrastructure, extract valuable information through data retrieval, and bring it back into play. You delve deep into the data, familiar with all retrieval models/methods, and the architecture of retrieval systems, as well as their applications (e.g., Search Engines). Your toolbox includes User Behavior, User Interfaces, Web Information Retrieval, and Multi Retrieval. With these tools, you conduct precise analyses on the behavior of target audiences (e.g., customers).
Business Analysis
Become a trailblazer, using your interdisciplinary digital competencies to set the direction for central cross-sectional areas of the economy. Your predictions determine the future success factors and provide blueprints for respective departments. You rely on Marketing Analytics to better understand and address the market (your customers) – the foundation for all future marketing activities. Financial Analytics allows you to assess and steer a company’s economic situation, while Financial Investment Analytics helps evaluate important investments for the future and beyond.
Human Computer Interaction/Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Become a translator and the link between humans and machines, forging new paths of interaction. Whether it’s facilitating the operation of new products for diverse target groups or controlling large systems through voice commands or voice assistants, you shape the dialogue. You are well-versed in theoretical and conceptual approaches from linguistics (speech recognition, processing, generation) and computer science (including artificial intelligence, machine learning), acquiring practical methods and techniques for these tasks.
