3 questions, 3 answers to the students of XU, this time with Niklas, student of Coding and Software Engineering. With the Hashtag #xustudentlife, our students will also be giving insights into their student lives in our Instagram story in the coming months. In the next two weeks, it will be Niklas, Matteo and Lennart.
Why did you choose XU?
Compared to other universities and colleges, XU offers me the time and professional flexibility to pursue my own projects and ideas, which in my opinion is essential for personal growth. In addition to relatively manageable classrooms and a great network, every student and staff member works on a paperless basis, which allows them to send work, projects, ideas, etc. via the cloud and obtain real-time feedback, making collaboration much more efficient and faster.
Why did you choose your course of studies?
I’ve always been fascinated by software engineering and technology, which connects pretty much all students. In addition, the XU recently became an Apple Authorized Training Center, which is a rarity among German universities.
What was important to you when choosing your place to study?
Particularly important to me were specializations in sub-areas that go beyond the study subject, such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Warehousing in Coding and Software Engineering. In addition, sustainability was a big factor for me, because with the exponential technical progress, nowadays study content will be largely irrelevant in the coming decades.
